Site Visit w/ General Assembly :: Finished Project!

If you’ve been following our recent visits with General Assembly, you’ll be happy to see these before & after shots of the completed renovation. Sarah Zames did such a great job modernizing this Brownstone studio. Here’s a look at the old & the new!

After: Kitchen with new island, cabinetry, fixtures & even a chalk board!

    It is definately an improvement, lovely BUT….
    I don´t really understand why the book shelves in the nook don´t fit snugly wall to wall? They are sort of stuck there with a space either side.

    I like the idea of a separate bedroom area, but it’s still visible to the rest of the home, I would have invested in a Murphy bed, a bed that folds up in the wall.
    The book shelf near the bed is fine, but the one near the fireplace is messy looking and almost looks unfinished, almost like you ran out of wood.

    This looks really great! Love the ceiling height kitchen cabinets. So much more practical for that space!

    The kitchen has improved but the living room had more charm before the “improvements”. The bookshelf looks infinished (I know MarieRoxanne said it before but I think exactly the same!, is a pain to the eye and makes the room looks crowded. The idea of putting a tv on a lovely fireplace is just… well, horrible!
